I'm the owner of Fashionably Late Styling—and yes, I'm always running late... hence the name.
I started this business when I was just 20 years old. I was a kid with a dream of leaving my full-time third shift job to build something I truly loved and could be proud of. One night at work, the idea of opening my own boutique popped into my head. It sounded a little crazy when I told my family, but not one of them doubted me for a second.
Fashionably Late began in a tiny one room shop tucked away in the back of a building in our downtown. Within the first year, I had already outgrown that little space, and I knew it was time to dream bigger. Today, I'm proud to own and operate out of the oldest building in not only our town, but in our county. This beautiful historic building has given us the room to grow while staying rooted in the community that made it all possible.
None of this would have happened without the support of my family, my friends, my fiancé, and most importantly, all of the incredible women who continue to shop small and support my dream.
Of course, I opened a boutique because I love fun, trendy clothes—but I also wanted to create a place where women could find outfits they actually want to wear every day. Think casual style with a touch of boho.
I've never been someone who lives in dresses. Give me a great fitting pair of jeans and a cute but comfortable top any day! That's why you'll find a huge selection of denim in our store. For a small boutique, we carry a wide variety of fits, rises, washes, and brands. I'll always be a little biased toward Risen, but I'll never give up the comfort of Judy Blue, the feel of a fresh pair of KanCan jeans, or the fun trends Vervet always brings out.
You'll also notice we keep plenty of cozy crewnecks and easy everyday basics in stock—pieces you can throw on, feel comfortable in, and still look put together. But don't worry... we also have beautiful dresses, skirts, blouses, and outfits for all of life's special occasions.
